Juniper Procumbens “nana”. This dwarf Juniper bonsai tree from Japan is the most popular evergreen in the U.S. When we think of a traditional bonsai tree and what it should look like, we think of a “Juniper Procumbens Nana.” It is very hardy, long-lived, and tolerates many adverse conditions. This is an excellent tree for the beginner. This tree is grown with care at Bonsai Boy of New York Nurseries. Watch out for imitations.

Native to Korea, China and Japan. Full size leaves are 2″ but reduce nicely as bonsai to create this attractive forest-like setting. New foliage is a deep bronze color which turns to a combination of red, orange and yellow in the fall. Produces hop-like flowers and seed pods when mature. Deciduous. Japanese Beech – Forest (fagus crenata)
Native to Japan where it is used extensively for bonsai. Has 2″ long x 1″ wide foliage that is a little more oval than the European Beech. The foliage turns brown in autumn and remains on the tree until spring when new growth pushes off the old leaves. The smooth grey-white bark is typical of other beeches. Decideous. Lime Sulphur – 500 ml (17 oz)
Lime Sulphur is a premium sterilizer, jin and shari preservation solution imported from Japan. Used for jin and shari to prevent rotting and to brighten and lighten dead wood color.
